Information Systems Security Engineer

NOTE:
This position requires a Secret Personnel Security clearance and is onsite at the customer location.
Summary In this role, you will develop/continue development of and performance of change management responsibilities for RMF Assessment & Authorization (A&A) package(s) for the Non-classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNET) and Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET) connected systems in support of transition to compliant architectures.
You will assist with continuous monitoring requirements in support of Lab and operational systems.
Assistance to the Commander Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command (CNMOC) Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and staff with Cybersecurity policy development and enforcement, requirements verification for user system access, requirements verification for classified space security controls, and research existing and emerging Information Technology (IT) and Cybersecurity requirements, strategies, and solutions will also be part of the role.
Responsibilities:
Assist and support government personnel with the accreditation of systems in the applicable target operational environments under the DoN Risk Management Framework (RMF) throughout every phase of the RMF process.
Document findings as they are discovered throughout the RMF process and coordinate the mitigation of the findings with government and contract personnel in order to achieve a successful accreditation disposition.
Perform compliance assessments of the application and system with IA requirements (i.
e.
Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Task Orders (TASKORDs), patches, Department of the Navy (DON) Application and Database Management System (DADMS) compliance, RMF controls, etc.
) and provide recommendations for achieving compliance with IA requirements for those items which do not meet compliance requirements.
Create and update required documentation necessary for system A&A approval.
Document ports, protocols, service accounts, and access required for the application suite.

Experience:
4
years of experience with supporting the development of A&A security plans or packages ISO of IT systems ATO, including the implementation and assessment of cybersecurity controls.
4
years of RMF Experience with implementing and assessing the implementation of DoD STIGs.
Experience with conducting and interpreting ACAS vulnerability scanning and reporting.
Knowledge of DoD policies, processes, and procedures related to common duties for Information System Security Officers.
DoD 8570 IAT/IAM II or equivalent certified (Security +) Education/Certification:
BS in Computer Science / Information Systems related field (preferred)Salary:
$38 per hour.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
